Oil seal rings in nitrile are a standard seal consisting of a rubber-coated metal housing and a sealing lip with a spring. The oil seal ring is designed to seal fats, oils, and water against rotating parts. Oil seal rings with dust lips (double lip) have an extra protective dust lip that protects the primary sealing lip from external contamination. Oil seal rings are also called oil seals, stuffing boxes, and simmering. Other type designations for type OAS are; CC, WAS, AS, TC, BA SL.
