On this abrasive product, the abrasive grains continuously break off and leave sharp points that cut smoothly through metal, unlike traditional abrasives that tend to gouge the surface. This breaking along with the wear of the individual flaps, continuously exposes fresh mineral grains ensuring high and uniform cutting ability throughout the disc's lifespan. Polyester backing further increases durability, and its conformability withstands high-pressure tasks like beveling, weld grinding, and edge deburring. Additionally, they leave a finish advantageous for fine grinding and surface preparation. In many cases, the 769F disc allows for grinding and finishing in one step, without needing to change abrasive products. This is because, under normal conditions, 769F delivers a finer finish than would be achieved with a fiber disc of the same type.
