Description
TIGRIS Pex-One pipe is suitable for use in both potable water and heating installations. The pipe is a 3-layer pipe and is made of high-density polyethylene and is cross-linked by the electron beam method (Pex-c) after extrusion. Dimension 28 mm, however, is a Pex-a pipe. The cross-linking increases the pipe's strength and provides enhanced thermal stability. Oxygen Barrier: Pex pipes used for heating systems must be equipped with an oxygen barrier to prevent the oxygen in the air from penetrating the pipe wall. A high oxygen content in the water can contribute to the corrosion of boilers, radiators, and similar equipment. TIGRIS Pex-One pipes are equipped with an oxygen barrier.
