Schneider SSL Solid-State Relay with socket

Harmony SSL is a series of slim Solid State relays for applications requiring frequent switching or high frequency. As the relays contain no moving parts, there is thus no mechanical wear which provides a very long service life. When selecting a Solid State Relay, it is important to start with the desired load type (AC or DC) and then select the supply voltage. Harmony SSL can be supplied with either screw terminals or spring terminals and all sockets have built-in retaining clip and LED. The slim width of only 6.2 mm ensures no valuable space is taken up on the DIN rail and up to 20 relays can be ganged together. SSL1A12BDRPV is a complete Solid State Relay mounted in a relay socket with screw terminals. The relay has a 24-280 VAC output (NO) with a maximum load of 2A. (at < 40°C.) Note that at a higher ambient temperature than 40°C, the maximum load must be reduced (see curve in the datasheet). The supply voltage to the relay can be 16-30 VDC. SSL1A12BDRPV is random switching, meaning it switches immediately when power is connected. This makes it suitable for switching signals or other loads requiring very fast response time. The relay has an on-time of 1 ms and an off-time of 0.5 cycles. The minimum load on the relay is 70 mA. As it is a semiconductor relay, short-circuit protection of the relay must be implemented accordingly. SSL1A12BDRPV can handle a maximum energy let-through of 285A²s in 20ms at 50 Hz. SSL series is UL and CSA approved for use in the USA and Canada. NOTICE: The Solid State Relay cannot be used for switching DC loads.
