Description
Harmony wireless and battery-less pushbuttons offer mobility and cost savings for installation at the same time. The system consists of a transmitter and a receiver communicating over a 2.4 GHz ZigBee Green Power protocol. With the increasing number of components in the wireless ecosystem, it's easier than ever to add wireless products to your EcoStruxure solution without changing the original installation. It is possible to choose either a stand-alone solution or direct connection to a PLC or IPC (e.g., Harmony Edge Box) through the gateway, Harmony Hub. The wireless pushbuttons have a general range of up to 100 meters between transmitter and receiver when there is free air between the two components. When placing the receiver in a panel or metal housing, the range is about 25 meters but can easily be increased by using the active antenna ZBRA1. ZB5RTC2 is a complete wireless pushbutton in plastic with spring return and a paddle button head in black. The pushbutton is delivered with a wireless transmitter that sends 1 signal when the pushbutton is activated. This allows it to be used for the following functions in combination with a ZBRRA receiver: - Momentary (one-shot pulse) - Bistable (toggle) - Start/Stop. The wireless transmitter uses the mechanical energy from the pushbutton to send a signal and hence does not contain any battery. The enclosure class is IP66, IP67, IP69 (ISO), and IP69K (DIN), and the pushbutton can be used in temperature ranges from -40 to 70 degrees Celsius. ZB5RTC2 can be used either with one of the separate receivers ZBRRA, ZBBRC, or ZBRRD for simple applications. For applications in conjunction with a PLC or other advanced solutions, Harmony Hub is recommended as a gateway.
