For interior and exterior doors as day lock, e.g., in office buildings, businesses, sports facilities, residences, etc., where secure automatic locking is needed. Function Narrow profile latch lock with interlocking and split door handle latch. The lock is primarily controlled electrically, locking automatically after use with a cylinder or turn, unless there is an impulse or constant signal indicating it should be unlocked. When the door is closed, the auxiliary latch blocks the door handle latch in the interlocked position. With electromagnetic lock function, unlocking can be controlled by access control systems, timers, alarm systems, etc. El480 can be set to either normal or reverse function. The external handle is electronically controlled. The internal handle always opens the lock. In normal function, the external handle opens when powered, and does not work when power is off. In reverse function, the external handle does NOT open when powered but works when power is off. The lock can always be opened with a key/turn and internal handle.
