Grundfos SCALA2 Pressure booster pump 3-45

SCALA2 is a compact, self-priming pressure booster pump that ensures perfect indoor water pressure mainly in 1- and 2-family houses – for example, when extra and stable pressure is needed in taps in the kitchen, utility room, and shower, for dishwashers and washing machines, and when the cistern needs filling. SCALA2 is made of composite and consists of pump, motor, tank, sensor, variable speed drive, and check valve in the same compact unit. The built-in sensor constantly measures the outlet pressure. If the pressure drops below the desired level, SCALA2 immediately increases performance to compensate for the pressure loss. Thus, SCALA2 automatically adapts to the household's water consumption pattern. The result is stable pressure and maximum comfort. The self-priming function means the pump can lift water from depths down to 6 meters. The pump should always be installed frost-free and can be placed in garages, outbuildings, technical rooms, or utility rooms/kitchens (solid base). SCALA2 is PN10-approved according to Danish standard 439: all technical installations used inside the house must withstand up to 10 bars. In case of dry running, leakage, extreme temperature, or blockage, the pump automatically stops to prevent damage or motor burn-out. In these cases, the pump stops and then attempts a restart every 5 minutes up to 8 times. Then, it attempts a restart every 24 hours. This automatic function can be deactivated.
