ENKOLIT Adhesive Compound

ENKOLIT is a permanently elastic, bituminous adhesive and sealing compound, making it easy to perform adhesive work on window sills and wall coverings. Additionally, ENKOLIT can be used to bond gable hangings and fascia boards as well as metal cladding. ENKOLIT is used for bonding metal profiles and sheets made of e.g., titanium zinc, copper, aluminum, and stainless steel on other building materials. A strength equivalent to DIN 1055 is achieved. Design load for buildings (wind load), which can be documented by studies of up to 45-year-old bonds. When applying on large surfaces on facades, roofs, etc., ENKOLIT in strip form or on parts of the surface as extra security of the mechanical fastening improves the flat fixation on visible places. When bonding the entire surface with a good layer of ENKOLIT, no cavities occur. Additionally, a sound-dampening effect is achieved, so the drumming on the metal in rain is avoided. With ENKOLIT adhesive compound, insect nests are avoided, and corrosion damage caused by moisture on the underside of the sheet is also prevented. ENKOLIT does not run on vertical surfaces after application, provided our processing instructions are followed. Laboratory tests have shown that ENKOLIT does not run out of the joint at temperatures of up to 110 °C. ENKOLIT is resistant to industrial combustion gas, salt, and seawater. The material is red algae-resistant and fungicidal.
