This series is called double capacity because a simplex roller chain of this type is almost as strong as a regular standard duplex roller chain. The DC series runs on the same sprockets as a regular simplex roller chain. A roller chain in the DC series takes up less space and weighs less than the equivalent standard duplex roller chain! Available also in a duplex version, which is almost as strong as a regular triplex roller chain. However, special sprockets are required for that. For more information, see the link to the data sheet.
