The roller chains in Sugiyama’s Aqua-Proof (AP) series have a corrosion-resistant coating, making them more resistant to water and moisture than other roller chains. The chain appears with a lighter silver-grey finish due to the coating. Sometimes coated chains have a working load of 90% compared to standard steel chains, but not this one! Sugiyama AP has 100% the same strength as a standard steel chain! Sugiyama-AP has been salt spray tested and has a distinctly longer lifespan compared to both standard, nickel-plated, and galvanized chains. It is especially suitable for outdoor use, such as in wet environments. Sugiyama AP chains are available in sizes from 1/2” to 2” (08B- to 32B-) European standard (BS) in simplex, duplex, and triplex! Sugiyama chains feature a solid bush and solid roller.
