The GT4 timing belts from Gates are an advanced development of the classic HTD profile and the successor to the GT3. Essentially, these are rubber timing belts in mm with a rounded tooth profile. GT4 belts are available in types 8M and 14M, compatible with standard HTD timing pulleys. Smaller types 2M, 3M, and 5M continue in the GT3 version. The GT4 series has the widest temperature range on the market, from -40°C to +120°C and briefly up to +140°C. Typically, standard rubber timing belts can handle temperatures from -30°C to +100°C.
