GT4 timing belts from Gates are an evolution of the classic HTD profile and the successor to GT3. Basically, they are rubber timing belts in mm, with round teeth. GT4 belts are available in 8M and 14M types, running in standard HTD timing belt pulleys. Smaller types in 2M, 3M, and 5M continue in the GT3 version. The GT4 series has the widest temperature range on the market, from -40°C to +120°C, and briefly up to +140°C. Normally, standard rubber timing belts handle temperatures from -30°C to +100°C.
