The GT4 timing belts from Gates are an advancement of the classic HTD profile and the successor to GT3. Basically, they are rubber timing belts in mm with round toothing. GT4 belts come in types 8M and 14M, which run in standard HTD timing pulleys. The smaller types 2M, 3M, and 5M continue in the GT3 version. The GT4 series has the widest temperature range on the market. From -40°C to +120°C and briefly up to +140°C. Normally, standard rubber timing belts can handle temperatures from -30°C to +100°C.
