The GT4 timing belts from Gates are an evolution of the classic HTD profile, succeeding the GT3. Essentially, they are rubber timing belts in mm with rounded teeth. GT4 belts are available in 8M and 14M types, which run in standard HTD timing belt pulleys. The smaller types in 2M, 3M, and 5M continue in the GT3 version. The GT4 series boasts the broadest temperature range on the market, from -40°C to +120°C, and briefly up to +140°C. Normally, standard rubber timing belts can handle temperatures from -30°C to +100°C.
