GT4 timing belts from Gates are an advancement of the classic HTD profile and the successor to GT3. Fundamentally, these are rubber timing belts in mm with rounded tooth pattern. GT4 belts are available in types 8M and 14M, which fit standard HTD timing pulleys. The smaller types in 2M, 3M, and 5M continue in the GT3 version. The GT4 series has the widest temperature range on the market, from -40°C to +120°C and briefly up to +140°C. Standard rubber timing belts typically handle temperatures from -30°C to +100°C.
