Osborn Novoflex B45 Honing/Deburring Tool K120

Flexible, self-centering deburring and honing tool. Creates a plateau finish where the formed cross-pattern creates an ideal fastening base on the machined surface, which in turn generates a good oil film carrier. The tool is always used with an oversize relative to the bore dimension to be machined. Edge breaking/rounding is therefore very effective when deburring e.g. entrance and exit radius in cylindrical holes, internal cross and transverse holes, bearing positions, etc. Generates a controlled edge rounding and surface finish regardless of the material being machined. Can be used in handheld machines, honing machines, CNC, NC machines, and other automatic machines and robots, used in a suitable tool holder. Applications: Combustion cylinders, piston rods, boreholes on shafts, pneumatic and hydraulic cylinders, valve guides, pneumatic equipment, wheel and brake cylinders, camshafts, crankshafts, tubes. Recommendations: Lubricants advantageous to use. We recommend applying honing oil to the Novoflex B brush before use. Mineral oil, motor oil, water-soluble oil (viscosity 10W30), coolant can also be used. Brake fluid should be used in hydraulic brake cylinders. Honing time 20-40 seconds. Oscillates 60-120 strokes/minute. Recommended speed: Novoflex B brushes up to Ø 40 mm, 600-1000 rpm. Novoflex B brushes < Ø 41 mm, 350-600 rpm. Machining time can be reduced by deburring cutting holes and transverse holes. Shaft diameter 5.7 mm.
