Description
Specifically for use on an orbital sander, the sanding disc PS 33 CK from Klingspor is equipped with self-fastening material. With reliable self-fastening backing, the disc can be easily attached to the machine's sanding surface by pressing it on. Due to the fastening over the entire surface, the sanding disc lies even and firm. Due to its properties, this abrasive is the right choice for sanding work on - paint, - lacquer, - wood, and - filler. Klingspor offers the sanding discs in various diameters and different hole patterns to fit all standard sanding machines. Also, sanding discs without holes are universally usable. If sanding discs without hole pattern are used, extraction of sanding dust is not possible. Klingspor sanding disc with high material removal Klingspor sanding discs PS 33 CK are equipped with a semi-open corundum grain. Synthetic corundum is characterized by its hardness and toughness. This ensures that the sanding disc has a high material removal rate and a long service life. Corundum grains have irregular shapes from wedge-shaped to block-shaped kernels. Thanks to their crystalline properties, corundum abrasives deliver effective results. The semi-open spreading type is ideal for surface treatment of wood, paint, and lacquer. In this type of spreading, the gaps between the grains are large enough for sanding residues and dust to run off. The residuals thus do not settle between the grains and thereby support the long service life. Synthetic resin bonding on paper backing (C-paper) for versatile applications As a basis for the sanding disc PS 33 CK, Klingspor uses a paper backing (C-paper). This is a medium-heavy paper that can be easily cut, torn, and folded. In areas that are difficult to reach with the orbital sander, the sanding discs can therefore also be bent or torn for hand sanding. The corundum grains are attached to the back of the paper with synthetic resin and coated with a synthetic resin topcoat. This topcoat gives the sandpaper its color and serves as extra support against lateral forces acting on the grain during sanding. The layer of synthetic resin over the grain is automatically worn off during the first sanding and therefore does not affect the sanding ability.
