Description

OK 68.81 is a rutile-coated electrode that deposits an austenitic-ferritic weld metal of type 29/9 Cr/Ni. The electrode tolerates a high dilution of the base material. Application: OK 68.81 is intended for welding of different materials and material combinations as well as cladding. For example, it can be used for tool steel, spring steel, manganese steel, chromium steel, welding unalloyed and low-alloyed steel to stainless steel. It is also used for buffer layers in hard surfacing. The weld metal is under all conditions crack-resistant and workable. In addition, it hardens by cold deformation and is oxidation resistant up to 1150°C.
