Description

OK 68.81 is a rutile acidic coated electrode that melts into an austenitic-ferritic weld metal of type 29/9 Cr/Ni. The electrode withstands large mixing of the base material. Application: OK 68.81 is designed for welding different materials and material combinations as well as for surfacing. For example, it can be used for tool steel, spring steel, manganese steel, chromium steel, welding of unalloyed and low alloy steel to stainless steel. It is also used for buffer layers in hardfacing. The weld metal is crack-resistant and workable under all conditions. Additionally, it hardens by cold deformation, and it is oxidation-resistant up to 1150°C.
