Esab OK Weartrode 60 T Electrode (OK 84.78)

OK 84.78 is a basic coated high-alloy hardfacing electrode, offering the best possible abrasion resistance against abrasive wear. The weld metal is of the type with 4.5% carbon and 33% chromium, and has a hardness of 59-63 Rockwell C. Application area: OK 84.78 is used on parts that are particularly exposed to abrasive wear, such as parts working in sand, gravel, stones, ores, and coal. Typical applications include excavator teeth, mill grooves, mixing arms, screw conveyors, brickworks equipment, stone drills, etc. The weld metal is corrosion-resistant. OK 84.78 is sometimes used for overlay welding wear pads on manganese steel in cases where the combination of manganese steel's resistance to impact wear and OK 84.78's resistance to abrasive wear is desired.
