Dacapo and Sanistål extend strong collaboration

Since 2013, Dacapo has supplied stainless steel to Sanistål, and the strong partnership continues now with a new agreement that runs until the end of 2026.

The agreement means that Dacapo will continue to stock all the stainless steel for Sanistål – that is, sheets, pipes, bars, and fittings.

“We are really proud that we have extended our agreement with Sanistål, so it now runs until the end of 2026. Sanistål is Dacapo's largest customer in Denmark; it is a strategically important customer for us, and therefore we are very happy that we can continue the collaboration,” says Torben Olsen, Sales Manager at Dacapo in Denmark.

Stainless steel is an important part of Sanistål's business, and for their customers, the agreement means they can continue to receive the same great service and have access to the same wide and deep range of stainless steel. Additionally, customers also benefit from Dacapo's delivery performance of a full 99.8%.

“Dacapo performs exactly as we want it to, and now we have made a relatively long agreement with them because we are confident that they can also handle the task in the long run,” says Morten Wiinholt, Category Manager for steel and metals at Sanistål, and continues:

“We are aware that we are a complex customer with many daily orders – this requires something from our supplier, but Dacapo has the flexibility necessary for our collaboration to run smoothly.”

Over the years, Sanistål and Dacapo have also built an effective digital collaboration with a fully integrated EDI solution, where almost all processes and transactions occur electronically. For example, Sanistål's employees can see Dacapo's stock status in their own IT system, and customers can see it in Sanistål's webshop.

“We will continue to develop our collaboration continuously, even though we now have a long agreement. We are particularly focused on developing the digital collaboration, which is important for both us and Sanistål to maximize in the future,” says Torben Olsen.

Although both parties agreed that they would generally like to continue the collaboration, there was no talk of the agreement being automatically extended.

“We have had some really good negotiations that have proceeded professionally. Both parties have had a goal of reaching an agreement, but it has still been necessary for us to meet each other on various points,” says Morten Wiinholt.
