Last week, the first Sanistål CollectStore opened in Hillerød, and before Christmas, the doors will open to the same type of store in Kalundborg: "We know that customers prefer to shop locally," says the Sanistål director.
Sanistål is strengthening its presence in Zealand with another CollectStore: Kalundborg
CollectStore is an extension of Sanistål's current store concept, providing customers access to a narrower, locally focused assortment, the opportunity to pick up and return goods, and opening hours starting at 6 AM.
“We have not previously been present in Kalundborg and have long been looking for an attractive location. We know that customers prefer to shop locally, and they now have the opportunity to do so in Kalundborg. Both when they need to consult with us and when they urgently need to purchase or return goods,” says the director of VVS Market, Andreas Borup Christensen.
The product assortment in the upcoming store in Kalundborg will be aimed at plumbing installation customers. But also at the many technical customers in the area.
“It is important to emphasize that customers will have access to our entire online store. Our employees will therefore focus on helping the customer to order goods themselves via our online store or app, thus saving time in their daily lives, as they can also call and order goods,” says Andreas Borup Christensen.
We listen to the customers
It is part of the concept for CollectStore that the product range, opening hours, and staffing can be adjusted over time, depending on both experiences and input from customers.
“When we relatively quickly open another CollectStore in Kalundborg after the premiere in Hillerød, it is to better test our new store concept, and because there is significant construction activity in and around Kalundborg. Additionally, we have listened to potential customers in the area, who currently choose not to consider us as their primary supplier because we do not have a store in the area. The nearest stores in Holbæk and Slagelse are up to an hour's drive away,” says Sales Director for Retail in the East, Kennet Rosbjørn Eriksen.
The store, covering approximately 400 square meters, will be located in the heart of Kalundborg's industrial area. Sanistål will take over the premises at Slagelsevej 121 on October 1st and expects to open its doors before Christmas this year.
