Sanistål and Aalborg Business School ready with new exclusive student education

In the future, Sanistål's students will be gathered in a joint class at Aalborg Business School, which offers tailored teaching, study trips, sauna treatments, ziplining, and all-inclusive. The goal is to create Denmark's best student education.

When the new Sanistål trainees start their first school residency in January, they will be gathered into one group at Aalborg Business School, which will tailor the education to align with the work tasks and business strategy of Sanistål, supporting the students 24/7.

“With this upgrade of our education, we are making a quantum leap forward in providing our students with the best foundation for a career. We aim to offer nothing less than the best trainee education in Denmark. Today's youth are attractive, and what we provide for them must be equally appealing,” says HR Director Svend Pedersen.

New education tailored to Sanistål
The students will gain insight into Sanistål's strategy, key figures, and products, how the organization works with sustainability and digitalization, and how the central warehouse in Billund operates.

“They will cover the entire business and acquire knowledge that they cannot gain in a larger group with students from elsewhere. The instructors will also accompany the students to Sanistål's stores, where, for example, role-playing will be organized, and they will provide intensive training for the logistics trainees at our central warehouse. This way, it becomes easier to translate theory into practice,” says HR Consultant Iben Tams.

Having the education close to Sanistål's headquarters in Aalborg offers new opportunities.
“We benefit from having the heads of HR, purchasing, and sales close by, allowing them to come by and share how each of them works with what the students are learning in school,” says Torben Jensen, head of education at Aalborg Business School.

Team spirit and interdisciplinary approach are important
There are many advantages to bringing all Sanistål trainees together in a closed group.

“Teaching the students together creates a 'special team spirit.' Not only will they get to know each other across different backgrounds, but they will also experience an interdisciplinary educational program that provides insight into each other's fields,” says Torben Jensen, continuing:

“The instructors will also get to know the students very well, enabling us to provide thorough feedback to both the student's immediate supervisor and the student themselves after each module, allowing them to develop both professionally and personally over the two years.”

Education and leisure blend together
In all modules, the students will be accommodated at Nørresundby Sports Center, with full board and access to a swimming pool, fitness center, sauna sessions, zip line, sports halls for ball games, mini-golf, and café.

“There will be physical activities as breaks in the lessons, which is why the school day doesn’t end until late in the afternoon. But we don’t send them off just because the school day is over. After dinner, there will be joint activities such as a trip to a climbing park or escape room, a table tennis tournament, or a first aid course,” says Torben Jensen.

During their two-year trainee education, the students will go through eight teaching modules, each lasting five days. For the first time, one of the modules will consist of a study trip, where they might visit a Sanistål supplier in Germany.
