To ensure increased customer focus and strengthen the area in general, Sanistål has made a change in its organizational structure. From now on, the division for steel and metals will be an independent unit on par with Construction and Industry, and Michael Lund has been hired to lead the new division, starting as director of steel and metals on Monday, June 20, 2016.
Strong steel profile
The area is far from new for Michael Lund, who has 25 years of experience in the steel industry. He comes from a position as sales director at Dacapo Stainless A/S and has previously worked for, among others, Damstahl in Skanderborg and was the managing director at the consulting firm Human Change Institute, where Sanistål was one of the core customers.
Managing Director Christian B. Lund is convinced that they have found the perfect profile for the job:
“Michael Lund has extensive knowledge of both Sanistål and the industry, and this provides a great foundation for us and, not least, our customers,” he says.
He expects that the new division, with Michael Lund at the helm, will strengthen Sanistål's position and take even greater advantage of the company's potential in the steel market.
90 years, but 100% at the top
Michael Lund looks forward to being part of developing dynamic and value-adding concepts at Sanistål. Regarding the choice of the company, he says:
“Although Sanistål is celebrating its 90th anniversary this year, I see Sanistål as an innovative and future-oriented company with huge potential and very competent employees who have the desire and ability for development. It will definitely not be same procedure as last year. Among other things, we are facing the implementation of a new ERP system, integration of the Taulov warehouse into the steel division, and many other initiatives. There is no doubt that Sanistål will continue to challenge the industry with the most value-adding solutions.”
Restructuring and new director at Sanistål
