With an exceptionally high level of service and a store always ready for sales, it was Sanistål's store in Åbyhøj that won the race to become Store of the Year.
At Sanistål's store in Åbyhøj, the smiles are extra wide at the moment. Among 47 possible candidates, it was Åbyhøj that received the great honor of being named Store of the Year 2015, along with a trophy, diploma, and a layer cake for both employees and customers.
"In Åbyhøj, they have what it takes. The store is a prime example with high turnover, excellent store standards, and an incredibly high level of service," says Sales Director Claus Jæger Nørbjerg, who selects the winner in collaboration with his three regional managers.
Customer evaluations are part of the final decision. In all Sanistål stores, there is an iPad set up where customers can express their opinions about the store and its level of service. Here, the Åbyhøj store has also performed well, achieving an overall score of 9.44 out of 10 possible.
In Åbyhøj, they are still celebrating the fine recognition of their work.
Store Manager Claus Gustafsen has several ideas on why things are going so well. Importantly, the staff group stands strong together. "People largely agree on the direction we should go, and we help each other. There's no 'mine and yours' - we just need to keep the wheels turning."
He emphasizes that several share the credit:
"We have a lot going on at our counter, and we have a fantastic collaboration with our internal sales department, which is just on the other side of a glass wall."
In Åbyhøj, they celebrated the title by inviting the store's customers for layer cake.
