On September 1st, a new type of store will open in Hillerød with a locally focused selection, the option to return items, and opening hours starting at 6: "Now we can just pop down and get what we need right here and now.".
The store's product range is tailored for plumbing installation customers like Jimmy Strange Tønnesen, who is the owner of Gribskov VVS. He and his employees order products daily exclusively through the web shop or Sanistål's app.
“But we look forward to Sanistål opening a physical store. We do not have everything in stock for the urgent tasks we receive. Therefore, it will be time-saving for us to be able to quickly pop into the store and pick up, for example, the water heater we need right now,” he says.
Sanistål's new CollectStore is not a full-size Sanistål store. Customers have access to a narrower range of products and guidance, and will also have easy access to the entire store.
“We have long wanted to re-establish ourselves in Hillerød. We will focus heavily on advising and helping customers save time in their everyday lives by ordering products themselves via Sanistål's web shop or app. Additionally, it will be easy for customers in the area to pick up and return products in the store,” says Andreas Borup Christensen, director of the Plumbing Market at Sanistål.
The possibility of returning goods makes Jimmy's workday easier.
“Today we either have to order a freight truck or drive to the store in Søborg ourselves. So that will also make things easier. But besides that, it's also important for us to shop locally, just as we shouldn't underestimate the value of being able to look each other in the eye.”
Gribskov VVS became a customer by chance, as only Sanistål had specific water heaters in stock last year.
“I have only been positively surprised, both regarding prices and good communication with our regular consultant and customer service. My only concern was that Sanistål was not present in our local area, but fortunately, they will be now,” says Jimmy Strange Tønnesen.
The business manager for the store in Hillerød is Tobias Buch, who is also responsible for Sanistål's store in Taastrup. Additionally, customers will meet Linda Lützen, who also has experience from the Taastrup store.
“We have spent a lot of time preparing for the opening, and I am very much looking forward to welcoming both existing and new customers. We open at 6 AM every day to benefit customers who can avoid the worst morning traffic heading towards Copenhagen,” says Tobias Buch.
During the first week of opening, there will be goodie bags for the first 100 customers, three customers will have the chance to win Milwaukee tools worth 3000 DKK, breakfast will be served, along with popcorn and ice cream, and several suppliers will also visit.
