Sanistål strengthens its digital efforts with newly created management position

In a newly created position as Head of Digital Business Development, it will be Søren Borg's task to make Sanistål even more digitally relevant for customers. He will be working closely alongside his former colleague.

“Our ambitions are high when it comes to enhancing the digital customer experience, and with Søren on board, we are strengthening both our digital and management competencies. I am very much looking forward to having Søren help guide us through the exciting journey we have begun with our Accelerate strategy,” says Natascha Schøtt Kjærgaard, Director of Digital Sales & Engagement.

41-year-old Søren Borg has several years of experience in IT and digital sales, and in the last two years, he has also gained experience in the wholesale industry as Head of Customer Experience at Lemvigh-Müller. In his new position, he will be working closely with Natascha Schøtt Kjærgaard, who also left Lemvigh-Müller on June 1 in favor of Sanistål.

“With Ahlsell's acquisition of Sanistål and the strategy I have been presented with, the foundation is strong, and now we are ready to push forward. I am very much looking forward to being a part of that journey,” says Søren Borg.

Digitalization from a pragmatic perspective

Søren Borg will be responsible for developing a digital business development strategy and building a Digital Center of Excellence, which, through an analytical data-driven approach, will focus on creating more personalized digital customer experiences.

“When customers interact with customer service and sales representatives or register through digital channels, they provide a lot of information about themselves and therefore also have an expectation that this knowledge will be gathered and made relevant during the next contact with Sanistål. Personalization must never just be data collection - it must create relevance for the customer,” says Søren Borg, and continues:

“There are fantastic opportunities in data and digital transformation, but I thrive especially when it occurs from a pragmatic perspective. It is easy to be dazzled by technology, but the most important thing is to focus on how it can be used to benefit the customer, and how you can achieve a significant impact with minimal effort.”
